Joel R. Mogy Investment Counsel Inc. (“JMIC”) is a boutique investment counseling firm, providing clients with an independent, non-institutional approach to investment management services. JMIC is a SEC Registered Investment Advisor and provides objective advice with a Fiduciary Standard of care.
Our firm has three investment counselors and a six-person operations team dedicated to providing exceptional client support.
The Firm’s success is based on a disciplined, long-term investment approach coupled with a dedicated focus on understanding the needs of each client. While our primary emphasis is serving as an investment counselor to individual clients, we do provide advisory services to fiduciaries of pension funds, endowments, and charitable foundations.
JMIC is not affiliated with any bank, broker dealer or financial institution and thus has no incentive to sell any related investment products.

Our investment philosophy is based on a long-term oriented investment perspective that is client-focused. Portfolios are individually tailored to address each client’s specific investment goals, risk profile, circumstances and temperament, balanced with the realities of the marketplace. Portfolio turnover is relatively low, and the strategies employed are cost-effective and tax-efficient. We invest primarily in publicly traded stocks and bonds.
